A Year of Birds

Waterfalls
Waterfalls are special to me. In college I loved rivers (I still do). I paddled the whitewater of Georgia and North Carolina. It was big, fast, powerful water. Not for me now, though. But I've become entranced by waterfall photography (I know, it's a bit cliche, but there's a reason it's so popular!) . Here are a few favorites. Lone Pine Creek, Whitney Portal I won't make it up Mt Whitney in this life, although I've hiked to Lone Pine Lake 3 miles up (and down) several times.
